피아니스트 김주상은 만 17세에 도독하여 당시 최연소로 베를린 한스 아이슬러 음악대학에서 엘다 네볼신(Eldar Nebolsin)의 지도하에 학부(Bachelor of Music) 과정 및 동 대학원 석사(Master of Music)과정을 최고점 졸업 후 영국 리즈대학교(University of Leeds, School of Music)에서 박사과정(PhD in Music Performance)을 우수한 성적으로 졸업하였다.
콘라드 엥겔 (Konrad Engel)에게 피아노 교수법을, 가브리엘 쿠퍼나겔(Gabriele Kupfernagel), 요나탄 아네어(Jonathan Aner) , 비르기타 볼렌베버 (Birgitta Wollenweber) 등에게 실내악을 사사하였다. 재학 중 독일의 국가장학금인 DAAD (Deutscher Akademische Austauschdienst) 및 교내 장학금을 받았다.
드미트리 바쉬키로프(Dmitri Bashkirov), 드미트리 알렉세예프(Dmitri Alexeev), 리하르트 브라운(Richard Braun), 나탈리아 쇼히레바(Natalya Shokhireva), 예카쩨리나 메체티나(Ekaterina Mechetina), 베른트 괴츠케(Bernd Gozke), 뵈른 레만(Bjoern Lehmann), 엘레나 마골리나(Elena Margolina Hait), 콘스탄제 아익호스트(Konstanze Eickhorst), 안드레아스 베버(Andreas Weber), 안드레아 루체시니(Andrea Lucchesini), 크리스토프 리스케(Christoph Lieske), 페터 랑(Peter Lang) 에게 음악적 의견을 배웠다.
스위스 루가노에서 열린 Iscart International Music Competition에서 1위, 폴란드 International Piano Competition Paderewski in Memorium에서 1위, 캐나다의 North American Virtuoso International Music Competition에서 1위 (Gold Medal)를 수상하였고 에스토니아 탈린에서 열린 Music and Stars Awards에서 Gold Star를 수상하며 매거진에 인터뷰 기사가 게재되었다. 모스크바 국제 음악 콩쿠르에서 2위, 스페인에서 열린 리스트 국제 피아노콩쿨에서 2위, 벨기에 브뤼셀에서 열린 클라라 슈만 국제콩쿨에서 2위없는 3위를 수상, 이태리 부조니 오케스트라에서 주최한 부조니 국제 음악 콩쿨에서 1위를 수상하였다.
스페인 KNS Classical 음반사의 소속 아티스트로 "Mosaic" 앨범 발매 및 유럽을 중심으로 활발한 연주 활동을 하고 있는 김주상은 클래식 음악 기획사이자 레이블인 판타지아의 대표직을 맡고 있으며 바른북스 출판사를 통해 출간된 도서 <음악해서 뭐 먹고 살래?>를 시작으로 작가이자 교육자로 활동중이다.

Joosang Kim, pianist, moved to Germany at the age of 17 and became the youngest student at the Berlin Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. Under the guidance of Eldar Nebolsin, he graduated with top honors in both the Bachelor of Music and Master of Music programs. He later completed a PhD in Music Performance at the University of Leeds, School of Music, in the United Kingdom with distinction.
He studied piano pedagogy with Konrad Engel and chamber music with Gabriele Kupfernagel, Jonathan Aner, and Birgitta Wollenweber, among others. During his studies, he received the prestigious DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) national scholarship as well as institutional scholarships.
Joosang received masterclasses and artistic insights from renowned musicians including Dmitri Bashkirov, Dmitri Alexeev, Richard Braun, Natalya Shokhireva, Ekaterina Mechetina, Bernd Götzke, Björn Lehmann, Elena Margolina Hait, Konstanze Eickhorst, Andreas Weber, Andrea Lucchesini, Christoph Lieske, and Peter Lang.
He has won numerous prestigious competitions, including First Prize at the Iscart International Music Competition in Lugano, Switzerland, First Prize at the International Piano Competition Paderewski in Memorium in Poland, and the Gold Medal at the North American Virtuoso International Music Competition in Canada. He was awarded the Gold Star at the Music and Stars Awards in Tallinn, Estonia, where his achievements were featured in a magazine interview. Joosang also earned Second Prize at the Moscow International Music Competition, Second Prize at the Liszt International Piano Competition in Spain, and Third Prize (no second awarded) at the Clara Schumann International Competition in Brussels. He won First Prize at the Ferruccio Busoni International Music Competition organized by the Busoni Orchestra in Italy.
As an artist under the Spanish label KNS Classical, Joosang released the album Mosaic and maintains an active performance schedule across Europe. He is also the founder and CEO of FANTASIA, a classical music label and production company. Beyond his career as a pianist, he is an author and educator.

Der Pianist Joosang Kim zog mit 17 Jahren nach Deutschland und wurde der jüngste Student an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Unter der Leitung von Eldar Nebolsin schloss er das Bachelor- und Masterstudium mit Bestnoten ab. Anschließend absolvierte er ein PhD-Studium in Music Performance an der School of Music der University of Leeds, Großbritannien, mit Auszeichnung.
Er studierte Klavierpädagogik bei Konrad Engel sowie Kammermusik bei Gabriele Kupfernagel, Jonathan Aner und Birgitta Wollenweber. Während seines Studiums erhielt er das renommierte nationale DAAD-Stipendium (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) sowie verschiedene Hochschulstipendien.
Joosang nahm an Meisterkursen und Workshops bei renommierten Musikern wie Dmitri Bashkirov, Dmitri Alexeev, Richard Braun, Natalya Shokhireva, Ekaterina Mechetina, Bernd Götzke, Björn Lehmann, Elena Margolina Hait, Konstanze Eickhorst, Andreas Weber, Andrea Lucchesini, Christoph Lieske und Peter Lang teil.
Er gewann zahlreiche internationale Wettbewerbe, darunter den 1. Preis beim Iscart International Music Competition in Lugano (Schweiz), den 1. Preis beim International Piano Competition Paderewski in Memorium (Polen) und die Goldmedaille beim North American Virtuoso International Music Competition (Kanada). Beim Music and Stars Award in Tallinn (Estland) wurde ihm der Gold Star verliehen, und seine Leistungen wurden in einem Magazin-Interview hervorgehoben. Außerdem gewann er den 2. Er ist Gründer und Geschäftsführer von Fantasia, einem Label und Produktionsunternehmen für klassische Musik. Neben seiner Karriere als Pianist ist er auch Autor und Pädagoge.
